Top Tech Deals

You’re probably familiar with the color-changing Hue lights that screw into your existing lamps and light fixtures, but if you really want to paint your rooms with color, you’ll want to pick up a few Hue Bloom accent lights as well.

These lights used to sell for around $80, and today’s $45 deal on Amazon is the best we’ve ever seen. If you’re already invested in the Hue ecosystem, you should absolutely pick up at least one.

Extra PureVPN savings with code PRIVACY20

There’s a nasty new Wi-Fi exploit out in the wild these days, but you can protect yourself from prying eyes (and get around geo-blocked content too) with a VPN subscription.

Lo and behold, PureVPN is offering some pretty stellar discounts right now when you use promo code Privacy20:

  • 24 months for $62.40 ($2.60 per month)
  • Six months for $42.96 ($7.16 per month)
  • One month for $8.76

PureVPN encrypts and obscures all of your internet traffic from everyone from malicious hackers to your ISP to the government, and includes some cool features like a kill switch to automatically disconnect your Wi-Fi if the VPN stops working, as well as split tunneling, which can route some of your traffic through the VPN, while letting the rest go through your ISP.

4-Pack Cable Management Sleeves, $11 with code ISZ8L4YN

The back of home theater cabinet doesn’t have to look like a rat king of tangled wires. These velcro sleeves can keep everything tidy, and they even come with adhesive to attach them to the side or bottom of your furniture. Get four for just $11 with code ISZ8L4YN.

The advent of sound bars has made it easier than ever to get premium audio out of your home theater, and this Yamaha deal means it’s awfully affordable too.

$190 gets you the YAS-203 sound bar and a wireless subowoofer to match. This thing pumps out 200W of audio power, and includes some Yamaha-specific features like Clear Voice to boost dialogue, and UniVolume, which prevents obnoxiously loud commercials from rupturing your eardrums.

This model typically ping-pongs between $300 and $400, and $190 is easily the best price Amazon’s ever listed.

TaoTronics 21" Sound Bar, $66 with code KINJASM9

This inexpensive, compact sound bar probably isn’t ideal for your main home theater; it’s only two channels, and doesn’t have a subwoofer, but it would be a massive upgrade for, say, a kitchen or bedroom where you’re still using your TV’s built-in speakers. It’s also wall-mountable, and will even work as a big, loud Bluetooth speaker for your phone.

This 55" 4K Samsung TV typically sells for $700-$800 around the web, but you can pick it up from Amazon right now for an all-time low $624. It’s not the best TV in Samsung’s lineup, but with (limited) HDR support, excellent black levels, and Samsung’s superb smart TV software, it’s a solid choice.

The advent of inexpensive Bluetooth headphones has been a net positive, but there’s no getting around it: They’re a pain in the ass to charge.

Luckily, Mpow’s headphone carrying case includes a built-in 800mAh battery and microUSB cable, so you can recharge your earbuds while simultaneously keeping them from getting lost or tangled in your bag. Yeah, you’ll still need to recharge the case, but this definitely makes Bluetooth earbuds a simpler option while traveling.

Aukey Night Light Power Strip, $16 with code AUKPAX06
Aukey USB Power Strip, $11 with code AUKPAX05

You can never have enough places to plug in, and these inexpensive power strips from Aukey plug directly into your wall to add two USB ports and a phone stand in the case of the $11 model, or two USB ports, two extra AC outlets, a phone stand, and even a nightlight if you opt for the $16 option.

There’s a new generation of Eero mesh routers out now, which means you can score great deals on the still-fantastic original set. Get a pack of three routers for an all-time low $280 today on Amazon, and kiss those dead zones goodbye.

Aukey 1080p Dash Cam, $56 with code 2V8IZIH2
Vantrue, $110 with code 92FOXSPN

You never think you need a dash cam until you get into an accident, or see something really cool through your front windshield, so you really should consider setting one up before you miss something important.

Today on Amazon, you can get Aukey’s well-reviewed 1080p dash cam (with a Sony sensor!) for just $56, or Vantrue’s dual-lens N2 for $110. I recently demoed the N2 Pro (which has a 1080p rear-facing lens, vs. the N2's 720p), and while the rear lens definitely won’t help you in every lighting situation, it could provide some extra context in the event of an accident.

We see deals on iTunes gift cards with some frequency, but Google Play credit almost never goes on sale. If you buy your movies, apps, music, or anything else from Google Play, this $5 gift card discount is basically free money.

Anker PowerPort 4, $19 with code BEST2242

The wall charger that came with your phone just doesn’t cut it while traveling these days. In addition to probably being slow as hell, you likely have at least two or three USB-powered devices that you’ll want to charge every night while you sleep.

Luckily, Anker stuffed four USB ports and 40W of power into a tiny travel charger (with folding AC prongs!), and you can get it for $19 today with promo code BEST2242.

Nebula Capsule + Tripod + Carrying Case, $269

Hot of the heels of their successful Nebula Mars mobile projector, Anker’s getting set to release an even smaller portable cinema, and our readers can save a bunch by preordering, and get some free accessories too.

The Nebula Capsule is about the size of a soda can, but can turn any wall into a 100" display while outputting 360 degree audio. And you won’t be hurting for content, since you can plug in any HDMI video source, mirror your iOS or Android’s screen wirelessly, or use the built-in Android 7.0 OS to pull up your favorite streaming apps.

It’ll run for an industry-best 2.5 hours on a single charge (or 40 hours if you’re just using it as a Bluetooth speaker), but since it charges over USB, you can just bring a power bank with you for essentially unlimited playtime.

Of course, it’s not going to be as bright as a full-sized projector, or the larger Nebula Mars, but its 100 lumens are basically unmatched in the pico projector space. Similarly, its 800x480 resolution is pretty standard at this size and price point, but the picture won’t be as crisp as you’d get from a larger projector, especially at larger sizes.

But for just $269 (with our exclusive discount), it’s a perfectly capable portable theater that you can fit in your bag. That’s kind of amazing! Plus, when you order through our link, you’ll get a free mini tripod to help aim the picture, and a free carrying case too.

Anker’s SoundBuds have long been our readers’ favorite affordable Bluetooth earbuds, and two different models are on sale today for about $6 less than usual.

Your options are the SoundBuds Tag for $24, or the SoundBuds Surge for $22. Both feature magnetic tips and about six hours of battery life, but the Surge has slightly smaller buds, while the Tag will automatically turn itself on and off when you attach the two buds magnetically.

Mpow Car Phone Holder, $8 with code 2ILMROQV

Vent-mounted magnets might be The Thing in smartphone car holders, but if your CD slot is lying dormant, or if you just don’t want to block a vent, this would also be a great option.

JACKYLED Power Strip Tower, $22 with code 5HMEDG64

Plug in all the things with this $22 tower of power. This thing comes with 10 outlets, four USB ports, and its own 6ft retractable power cord. Plus, it rotates for optimum space-saving.

Top Home Deals

Bosch’s drills and drivers are some of the most popular you can buy, and two different options are both down to their best prices ever, today only on Amazon.

You can choose between a 12V drill/driver for $99, or a compact pocket driver for $108 in today’s Amazon Gold Box. Either way, you’ll get a battery and a carrying case to go with them as well.

Have any experience with these particular drills? Let us know in the comments!

ECOVACS DEEBOT M80, $178 with code ZT3PBKFF

If you think it’s cool that you can buy a robot to vacuum your floors for $178, how would you feel if I told you this one mopped too?

The ECOVACS DEEBOT M80 Pro has all the accoutrements you’d expect from a mid-tier robotic vacuum, including a motorized brush roll, scheduling, and even Wi-Fi, plus one you wouldn’t: an optional mopping system. If you want to clean your hard floors, just pop on the mopping pad (it’s sort of like a Swiffer), add some water and/or cleaning solution to the reservoir, and go enjoy life while it does your chores for you.

Amazon makes trail mix now, because Amazon makes everything, and all three flavors are a couple bucks less than usual today. I’ve had the Sweet & Spicy, and it’s excellent. It’s only a matter of time until they can deliver this to you by drone when you’re actually out on a remote trail.

Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen (White or Copper Only), $197 with code GGNEST32

The ultra-popular Nest Learning Thermostat 3.0 is down to $197 today at Rakuten with promo code GGNEST32, which is the best discount we’ve ever seen. These don’t go on sale all that often, so if you have one on your wishlist, I wouldn’t hesitate. Smart thermostats really can pay for themselves, especially during this purgatory of a season we’re in right now.

Note: This deal is only valid on the white and copper models.

This $21 portable Thermacell mosquito repeller might allow you enjoy the outdoors again.

Place this down next to you when you’re outside, or throw in your hiking backpack and this cordless, odor-free device claims to ward off flying insects (most notably, mosquitoes) as far as 15 feet away for up to 12 hours.

After those 12 hours, you can replace the repellent mats and repellant-dispersing butane cartridge.

Most reviewers say it works pretty well, especially on days with little-to-no wind. Note the different colors are different prices, but this $21 gray model (the least expensive color) hasn’t been this cheap since 2016.

I’m not sure if I completely buy into the mood-boosting properties that Himalayan salt lamps are said to have, but at the end of the day, they look pretty cool and if that boosts your mood then more power to you.

This one is made of pure Himalayan salt and has a dimmable light. It usually sells for $36 but is just $30 today and would make a great gift.

When is a pen worth $40? Possibly never, but the GP 1945 makes a really strong case.

This Kickstarter campaign is set to ship out pens starting in November, and the demo unit they sent me is incredibly impressive. My titanium model is very solid and well built (there’s also a lighter aluminum version), to the point that I don’t think I could break it if I tried. The butt cap also doubles as a glass breaker for emergencies, the diamond knurled finger grip works as a small ruler, and you can even blow into the back of the tube to to use it as a survival whistle.

Gifs don’t do the bolt action mechanism justice

The real star of the show here though is the bolt action method of extending and retracting the tip of the pen. It gives you enough resistance to be satisfying, but not enough to be slow or frustrating, and it makes a very addictive click when the mechanism slides into place. I have no less than four fidget toys in heavy rotationon my desk, but clicking this pen was all I wanted to do today.

There’s only about a week left of the campaign, but you can still get aluminum GP 1945s for under $40, or titaniums for under $70. That’s a lot to spend on yourself, but these would make great gifts for the holidays. Plus, if you pledge $8 extra and include a note, they’ll throw in a magnesium pen core that you can use to start a fire. Just take it out and rub it against the finger grip to generate a spark.

Foam floor tiles are great for yoga, general fitness activities, or just for laying out wherever you spend a lot of time standing. Most of them though don’t make much of an effort to actually look nice. This pack of 16 though (each one is a single square foot) mimics a hardwood floor, and you can get it for just $19 with promo code EA5W25XG.

Made by one of our best-selling brands, these two All-Clad skillets are within $3 of their lowest price ever. The 8-inch and 10-inch skillets are nonstick, scratch resistant, and oven safe up to 500 degrees.

This package usually sells for $60, so get them while they’re still sizzling.

OxyLED Water Wave Ripple Light, $13 with code OXPL102D

OxyLED, the company behind so many popular and functional motion-sensing lights, isn’t afraid to have a little fun, it seems. For $13 today, you can grab their water ripple effect stage light, which can project multiple colors and patterns onto any wall. The rippling could make it easier for you or your kid to sleep, but it also has a red and green mode that could come in handy around the holidays.

Don’t worry, this isn’t the sugar free variety.

The five pound bag is also priced at $11 right now, which isn’t an all-time low, but it’s about $1 off its usual rate.

Mandoline Slicer, $14 with code ZKW2QCSA

Unless you have perfect knife skills and a lot of time, mandolines put precise, uniform cuts in the realm of possibility. This mandoline slicer is just $14 today with code ZKW2QCSA, which is slashed down from it’s normal $20 price.

It’s not the fanciest model, but would be good for people who are beginners and not looking to drop $80 very professional-looking metal one. This one comes with five different interchangeable blades: two for shredding, two for slicing, and one for making wavy cuts, like for waffle fries.

Kick back and relax with your feet up on this $13 adjustable-height footrest. Sure, it can help with circulation and improve posture, but I’d buy one because it’s just more comfortable.

If you’ve ever spent more than 5 seconds sorting through your mismatched food containers to find the right lid, it’s time to throw them all out and upgrade to the uber-popular Rubbermaid Easy Find Lid system.

BioLite, maker of our favorite camping stoves and lighting, is back with a FirePit we’ve been psyched about since we saw it in action back in December. Their Kickstarter launched today and is already... on fire.

Update: BioLite is running low on $199 preorder bonuses with the free solar cover (just over 100 left as of October 18), so get yours while you can.

The BioLite FirePit is easy to transport, minimizes smoke, is see-through for maximum fire viewing, uses wood or charcoal, and doubles as a hibachi grill. The secret here is an advanced circulation system that’s powered by a removable battery pack (which you can plug your phone into, natch), but unlike some of BioLite’s other products, the flames won’t recharge that battery themselves.

That said, Kickstarter preorders include a solar cover for free that will recharge the battery when the pit isn’t in use, but about a third of the units available at the $199 level are already gone, so don’t let this one smolder.

Plus, you can sync the app with Apple HealthKit and Google Fit, giving your other fitness-focused apps access to your data. Just be sure to use promo code FYYH6QQG to get the deal.
