TOP TECH DEALS
If you spend $25 on products shipped and sold by Amazon.com today, you can add a bag of their Sweet ‘n’ Cheesy popcorn for free. I’ve got nothing else to add, it’s free popcorn, people.
Not only is the new WeMo Mini Smart Plug smaller than the top-selling original so as to only cover one outlet, it’s also cheaper. You’ll usually always see it available for $35, but today on Amazon, it’s knocked down to $30.
Despite its diminutive size, this includes all the same features as the full-sized WeMo Switch, including IFTTT support, Alexa compatibility, and an Away mode that will randomize your lights to deter ne’er-do-wells.
Anker’s following up its incredibly popular dash cam with a new model, and you can race over to Amazon to snag one for $68 with code AKROAV4U, the first deal we’ve seen on this model.
You can read my original Roav DashCam impressions here, but the C2 model has a few differences. Notably, it operates at a wider temperature range, so if you live in an extreme climate, this is the model for you. It also upgrades the screen from 2.4" to 3", and packs in a new Sony Exmor sensor and Ambarella A12 chipset. However, unlike the original, it doesn’t include Wi-Fi, so you’ll have to plug your microSD card into a computer to export your footage.
You guys bought a ton of battery-powered electric arc lighters last week for $15, but now you can get one for $14.
Unlike last week’s deal, this model isn’t really pocket-friendly, but its long, flexible neck makes it ideal for lighting candles, camp fires and other awkwardly-placed flammable things. Just charge the built-in battery over USB, and you’ll be good to go for up to 1,000 uses before you have to plug it in again.
Your favorite USB car charger just happens to be the smallest one you can buy, and you can grab it on Amazon for $7 today with code AUKEYCS2. This is one of Kinja Deals’ top-selling products of all time, and if it’s been on your wish list, this is the best price we’ve seen in about a year.
Anker’s SoundBuds have long been our readers’ favorite affordable Bluetooth headphones, and if you prefer neckbuds, the SoundBuds Lite are down to their lowest price today on Amazon, no promo code required.
You’ve almost definitely seen headphones like this before, and by now you probably know whether they’re a good fit for your lifestyle. In exchange for a somwhat unorthodox design, the main advantages you’ll enjoy are great battery life and smaller earbuds, hence the “Lite” name. The SoundBuds Lite are rated for 10 hours of music streaming, compared to roughly six or seven on most Bluetooth earbuds that include the batteries and antennas inside the ear pieces. And since all of those heavy components live reside in the flexible neck band, the earbuds themselves are tiny, and the included tips and wings ensure that you’ll find a perfect fit.
I had never tried neckbuds before these, but found the “collar” to be light, comfortable, and very flexible. Other than the ends of the band, the entire thing is made of a soft-touch rubber, so it should fit comfortably around any neck. Plus, the buds themselves stick together magnetically when not in use, so they won’t flop around too badly when they’re out of your ears.
If you travel with any regularity, this versatile little gadget may just be your new best friend. They call it the RAVPower FileHub Plus, but that name doesn’t do it justice, because it’s really three gadgets in one:
- Travel Router: Turn any ethernet jack you find into a Wi-Fi hotspot, which can still come in handy at certain hotels and conventions.
- 6,000mAh USB Battery Pack: Keep your phone and tablet charged during a long day away from any power outlets.
- File Hub: Transfer files and wirelessly stream content from an SD card, hard drive, or flash drive to all of your devices. Imagine loading a cheap SD card up with movies for a long trip, instead of, say, buying a more expensive iPad with extra local storage.
We all own so many USB-powered devices these days, it only makes sense to replace our AC power receptacles with USB-equipped versions.
Anker’s SoundCore blew away the competition to take the title of your favorite affordable Bluetooth speaker, and today, you can pick one up for $25 right now on Amazon, the best price we’ve seen since Prime Day.
I’ve owned this thing for over a year, and I feel like I never charge it. If anything, its quoted 24 hours of battery life is a conservative estimate. It also sounds fantastic for a speaker of its size.
This 64GB flash drive has a retractable USB-C connector on one end for your newer devices, and a retractable standard USB port on the other for older computers. If that’s something you could use, $22 is within a few cents of an all-time low.
If you’ve been meaning to wall-mount your TV, this highly-rated mount will only set you back $12 today. This particular model doesn’t articulate left and right, but it can hold TVs anywhere from 23" to 55", and it even includes a bonus HDMI cable.
A good HDTV antenna is essential gear for any cord cutter, and will let you watch a ton of football games this season for free. $17 is a fantastic price for a an amplified antenna, and you’ve got three to choose from today. The black model includes a stand and a unique design, but in terms of specs, they should all be pretty similar.
Not sure if this is for you? Check out Lifehacker’s guide to finding and using an HDTV antenna to help you get started.
At $70, the new Amazon Fire TV is a pretty incredible value: You get 4K at 60 frames per second, HDR, and an Alexa remote for just $70, compared to the $179 Apple is charging for their new Apple TV. Granted the Apple TV supports the superior Dolby Vision HDR standard, but it doesn’t (yet) have Dolby Atmos like the Fire TV. And did I mention it costs over $100 more?
So if $70 for the Fire TV is a great price, then $80 for the Fire TV plus an Echo Dot (normally $50) is absolutely unreal. We aren’t sure if this is a limited time promotion or a permanent bundle, but getting an Echo Dot essentially for $10 is as good as it gets.
For the rest of Amazon’s new devices, check out this post from yesterday.
VPNs are in the news these days, and with good reason. So if you’re curious to sign up and start protecting your browsing history and personal data (or, you know, getting around websites’geoblocks), NordVPN charges less per month than a typical trip to Starbucks.
NordVPN has long been one of the most popular and reliable VPN providers out there, and if you sign up for a one-year membership, promo code VIP70 will drop your annual price from $69 to $48. If you’re sure you want to commit, use this link instead to get a special two year plan for $79 with code 2YSpecial2017. Lifehacker has recommended Nord in some previous guides, but if you have any firsthand experience with the service, sound off in the comments!

Update: Sold out
If you don’t own a pressure cooker, today’s a great day to fix that, as Amazon’s knocked the highly-rated Instant Pot IP-DUO60 all the way down to $70, within a buck of an all-time low (from Cyber Monday 2016).
If you’re worried that you won’t get a ton of use out of this thing, note that in addition to standard pressure cooking, this is also our readers’ favorite slow cooker, and one of their favorite rice cookers too. To put a fine point on it: It’s one of the most versatile kitchen gadgets you can own. Even if you already have one, I don’t need to tell you that these make great gifts, and the holidays are just around the corner.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and you can step up your serving game with this three-compartment buffet. Just plug it in, set your preferred, and keep your food from getting cold. You can even remove the compartments completely, and just use the heated base as a standalone heating tray.
Most smart lighting systems are basically enhancements of the light bulbs we’ve been using for decades, but why not use all that technology to make something more artistic?
The Nanoleaf Aurora is a smart lighting system based on a series of flat, interconnected triangles that you can arrange on your wall in any pattern you want. They probably won’t be your primary source of light, but with a little creativity, they can be a centerpiece of your home’s decoration. Just create recipes with your choice of colors and brightnesses, and trigger them with your smartphone, Google Home, or Alexa-enabled device. It’ll even work with IFTTT, so you could, say, light up your triangles your team’s colors whenever they play.
The starter kit includes a controller and nine panels (you can add up to 21 more, sold separately), and it’s down to $180 at Home Depot right now, down from its usual $200.
Grabbing breakfast or lunch with coworkers can be a great way to break up the day, but more often than not you’ll just wallow in your own indecision before ordering a bad $17 sandwich.
The original flavor also comes in powdered form now, which is also available with the aforementioned coupon.
It’s October now, you have an excuse to stock pile a shit ton of candy. You can use these 60 Airheads to pass out to trick-or-treaters... or not.
If you subscribe you can save another 20%, bringing it down to $6. If you don’t subscribe, this box is still as cheap as they get at a little under $8.
Anker’s home goods brand, Eufy, put its uber-popular copper string lights back on sale today for $10 today, the best price we’ve seen since April. This particular set doesn’t include a remote, but at this price, it’s a fine option for indoor or outdoor decorating.
This would be a perfect coffeemaker to keep on your desk at the office. Yeah, maybe K-cups are little controversial, but it can be better tasting than some communal office coffee pots. At just $25 today, it will pay for itself after just 5 or so skipped coffee shop visits.
Our readers have bought thousands upon thousands of Rubbermaid Easy Find Lid food storage sets over the years, but today’s a great day to upgrade to the Premier version.
Compared to the originals, these feature a stronger plastic base which is better at resisting stains and smells, and lids that snap to the bottom of their containers, so they never get separated. $25 is the best price Amazon’s ever listed on the 28-piece set (which includes 14 containers and 14 lids, not 28 containers), so stock up.
These microfiber mitts are great for washing your car or dusting around the house, but they could also come in handy on Halloween for terrifying children as you hand out candy. They’re worth $5 either way, in my opinion.
It feels like it’s been hovering in weather Limbo for the last couple weeks, but eventually, it will actually get cold. Make sure you’re bed is ready so you can stay bundled up with this discounted down comforter, on sale today only. With 650+ power fill, it features a gusseted edge and corner ties to make sure it doesn’t go anywhere inside your duvet cover. A queen will run you just $150 and a king is just $8 more.
Get your pup in on the biggest trend of the last 5 years by picking up this memory foam dog bed. Featuring 5" gel-enhanced memory foam, today only, grab a small for $56, a medium for $74, or a large for $105, in a ton of colors and patterns. Give your good dog what they really deserve.
You aren’t a true citizen of the internet until you’ve bought a mattress in a box. Today only on Amazon, the 11" foam GhostBed Mattress is on sale for about 30% off.
These mattresses come with a 100 night trial, so if you don’t like it, they’l take it back. And if you do like it, you get a 20 year warranty too. Just remember that today’s prices are only available today, or until sold out.
Update: Though Amazon’s page mentions a 100 night trial, GhostBed’s site says that Amazon purchases can only be returned for 30 days.
Bodum’s pour-over coffee maker is as beautiful as it is functional, and Amazon’s marked it back down to $14 today, the best price they’ve ever listed on the 34 ounce model. Hopefully, you take your coffee makers like you take your coffee: Black. Because that’s the only color on sale today.
If you still haven’t upgraded your morning routine up a life-changing wake-up light, Philips’ entry level model just got a huge price drop.
The Philips HF3500 is currently marked down to $40 (after clipping a $10 coupon), easily besting all previous deals. While there are higher end models with color-shifting lights and multiple wake-up sounds, this model still offers a reasonably convincing facsimile of a sunrise, which helps ease you out of REM cycles before the alarm sounds. I’ve been using it for years, and absolutely love it.
At $275, Makita’s dual battery starter kit isn’t exactly cheap, but it’s a lot more palatable when you get to pick two bare tools to go with it for free. Just be sure to add the BL1850B2DC2X kit to your cart, and then select the “Makita Starter Kit Promotion” tab at the top of the page to see the eligible free tools.
The shower head that came preinstalled in your home or apartment is probably terrible, but if you don’t have the cash to upgrade it to a Delta In2ition, the Delta 75152 is a fantastic option for just $17.
Aside from a single switch that toggles between 2.5 and 1.85 gallons per minute, this showerhead doesn’t have any notable features to speak of. But I can tell you from years of experience that its water coverage is beyond excellent. Each of the four valves uses Delta’s H2Okinetic system to agitate the water and create a full, perfectly dispersed wall of water, rather than four individual streams. It’s a difficult sensation to describe, but I absolutely recommend you try it for yourself, especially at this price.
AmazonBasics makes some of your favorite clothes hangers, and you can get 50 of them for $18 today, one of the best prices we’ve ever seen.
Important life questions: what are you going to do with all that junk, all that junk inside your trunk? Well, put it all into this handy organizer for $8 with code 6ACYE68P. It has big compartments for umbrellas, jumper cables, first aid kits, and all that stuff we’re supposed to keep in our cars and will prevent stuff from rolling around back there.
Forget trying to find quarters under your car seat and paying way too much for 3 minutes of air, and get this $21 tire inflator with code IVVIFA4X. You can fill up your tires whenever and wherever you please for free. Keeping your tires properly inflated helps improve gas mileage so this guy will basically pay for itself. It would also be great for bike tires.
It can be annoying to make a one-off trip to pet store to buy that speciality food for your furry friends. So skip the trip and stock up on some discounted pet food with 30% off a variety of different brands from Jet with code LATESTLICKS30.
They have both dog and cat foods plus some treats mixed in, which scratches our deal itch right behind the ears.
